The best! Hoss designed and taught me an amazing sequence for my shoulders that made a real difference to a long term restriction on my right side. I highly recommend working with him. He makes everything so much fun and is so knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. Most importantly he makes sure you get excellent results.

My hip flexors had turned to concrete and I was moving like an 80 year old, I'm not 80 by the way or even close. Ross sorted me right out, it turns out being pain free and mobile is much, much better than being in pain and stiff as a log. Hats off to Ross for coaching me all the way to better mobility, the next coaching session is all ready in the books.

I’ve been taught by Ross (Hoss) many times in several different formats over the last few years. He has taught me grappling as part of group classes, individually and in small groups, and I’ve also worked with him one to one on kettlebell exercises and recently on some rehab, prehab and mobility work.
Across all of the disciplines mentioned I’ve always found his coaching to be very effective, specific and perhaps most importantly hugely fun.
On kettlebell coaching I believe the skill is in giving good cues at the correct time, and I can honestly say I remember Ross’s advice each and every time I perform a Turkish Get-up now.
He has a way of hiding the hard work you are doing by making a session varied and keeping the conversation upbeat (and often ridiculous), whatever your endeavour. It’s so much of a laugh that only when you are done will you realise how hard you’ve worked and that the whole session covered important useful stuff.
I’ve worked with many personal trainers and martial arts coaches over many years and if you get an opportunity to learn anything from Ross my advice is to grab it as you’ll learn a lot and have a great time. I can’t recommend him highly enough, if it’s for wrestling or tight hip flexors or anything in between he has an exercise to help.
I’m still unclear why he insists on teaching everything in blackface and with a Mr T voice though. That may be triggering for some clients but it never bothered me.

Train with Hoss
So far I have had five excellent sessions with Ross. Ross's sessions are well explained, with Ross allowing me to explore different techniques at my own pace. Ross is patient and encouraging throughout. I came to a session injured (from my own training, not from what Ross had done to me!) My injury was taken into consideration and Ross adapted the lesson to suit my needs. After each session Ross makes sure I am fully capable to "fight another day" by getting me to perform mobility exercises

Having had some previous martial art experience, Ross would be an excellent instructor for anyone, from beginners to seasoned fighters wanting to improve their game
Train with Hoss. You'd be a fool not to. You're not a fool are you?!
